What Matters?

I believe in the power of abstraction to solve complex problems, and AI is the ultimate tool for creating that additional layer of abstraction in products. My approach to technology is shaped by a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in today’s world:
- Attention as Currency: In an era of asymmetric information, where recommendation models are becoming increasingly addictive, I view my attention as a valuable resource. I actively research and analyze these trends to better understand their implications.
- Embracing Complexity: The hardest challenges often yield the greatest rewards. Just as a babysitter sells you a relaxed evening, AI will soon sell you code—leaving humans to focus on ideation and creativity.
- Simplification & Efficiency: An AI model is a simplification of reality, and the most efficient producers always dominate the market. Computation is becoming abundant, and AI is becoming cheaper, signaling a shift toward unprecedented technological accessibility.
- Democratization & Loyalty: Empowering people to build their own systems fosters loyalty—much like the IKEA effect. By democratizing tools and platforms, we can create devoted users who are invested in the ecosystem.
- Execution Over Ideas: Ideas are abundant, but execution is everything. Good products are often simple, and overthinking the future can undermine the present. Like a tree, the taller you grow, the stronger your roots must be.
- Focus & Dedication: True mastery comes from 100% dedication to a field. Read, apply, and repeat. Channeling and focusing energy is key to achieving meaningful outcomes.
- Spirituality & Perception: At its core, spirituality is practical. It teaches that we all carry the seed of divinity within us, and everything is a matter of perception. Even fruits—nature’s direct creation—remind me of the beauty of simplicity and goodness.
- Time & Convergence: Time feels faster as we age, and I believe we are at a unique moment of convergence in AI. Being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people is crucial. Confusion is temporary; staying confused is a choice.
- Labor Illusion & Sentience: The "labor illusion"—the perception of effort—could play a role in making AI appear sentient. Finding the balance between memory and complexity is the key to advancing AI systems.
- Impact Over Scale: It’s better to matter deeply to a small group than superficially to a large one. What you do defines who you are. My focus is on understanding why things work the way they do and creating better solutions.
